On the big heart day itself, Tadhg, Sadhbh, mom and dad celebrated with baba and papa in Tadhg's favourite restaurant, Montana's. Sadhbh loved spending time with here baba and papa and showed her taste for bitter things when she chomped down on raw lemon. Tadhg loved lemons as well when he was her age.
Tadhg loves to celebrate events at Montana's but he doesn't eat much when he is there - except for dessert when he can order a cookie with gummy worms! Happy Valentine's day!
Baba planned a family get together on Sunday for Valentine's day. Tadhg was excited to bring some special red Valentine's day balloon's for baba and papa as well as a little gift bag. He was delighted to see his cousins as always and had a great time running around the house with them
Sadhbh is getting more active and animated with each passing day and enjoyed spending the day with her baba and papa. She has lots of sounds and lets everyone know when she needs something.
It has been a mild winter by Canadian standards but some heavy snow finally fell on Friday night. Saturday dawned perfectly for Sadhbh's first tobogganing expedition. Tadhg was very much the experienced tobogganer and showed Sadhbh how to sit in her toboggan, how to hold onto the ropes and how to drag her hand through the snow. Sadhbh just sat snug as a bug in her snow suit and looked curiously at the white world passing by her.
Sadhbh hasn't started crawling yet but she is very keen on standing. She loves to stand up against the sofa, her play table and especially loves to stand while holding onto mom and dad's hands. She is close to crawling and seems ready to take off at any moment. Mom and dad have been looking around the house thinking of what they need to do to prepare it for an active little girl!
Ever since Tadhg was a baby he and dad have loved to go to blanket world for some play time. It's always warm and comfy in blanket world and games seem more fun there. Sadhbh has been keen to see what all the fuss was about so on Saturday Tadhg showed her the way to blanket world. Sadhbh loved it and didn't want to leave blanket world! She and Tadhg have many blanket world adventures to come.
