Tadhg and Sadhbh celebrate their cousin's birthday

Monday was Tadhg and Sadhbh's cousin Nicholas's birthday. There was a birthday celebration in Uncle Nick and Auntie Barb's house which all of their Canadian family and friends went to. Tadhg and Sadhbh loved being in their cousin's house as always.

Tadhg was especially excited about the birthday card and gifts and was very keen to help his cousin read his cards and open his presents. Happy Birthday Nicholas!

Tadhg's Master and the Giant Robot

Once upon a time the master came and built a giant castle. All the people had to leave their homes to make room for the castle. The master's castle was very grand but the people were sad. They had to leave their homes and the master made them work for him.

One day a boy had an idea. He built a giant robot. The robot's legs were one hundred feet long! It's arms were 60 feet long! The robot had blue sparkling eyes and lightning flew from the antennae on it's head. The boy told the robot to stomp, stomp, stomp over the master's castle. The people were afraid of the enormous robot and ran away screaming. But the robot was only after the master.

The master saw the huge robot stomping to his castle. He ran to the top of the highest tower and shouted "STOP" at the robot waving his arms wildly. But the robot did not stop. It lifted it's giant foot and crushed the castle. Then it disappeared when the sun came out.

The people were able to go home and were happy. The master disappeared and was never seen again. The people never saw the robot again but every time they talked about it, the little boy smiled......

Sadhbh stands by herself!

Sadhbh is getting better and better at standing and loves to balance against her activity table while pressing the buttons and listening to the music.She is now able to balance against the table by herself and loves the new-found independence. Mom and dad have started looking around the house and thinking about what needs to be child-proofed for when Sadhbh is mobile!

Sadhbh loves pancakes!

Tadhg's favourite breakfast meal for a long time has been pancakes and maple syrup. He always requests pancakes whenever he has a choice over breakfast usually on weekends. Sadhbh has been getting more interested in what her big brother does and generally wants to do what he does. So it came as no surprise that she wanted to try his pancakes and loved them when she finally did!

Sadhbh enjoys her Christmas gifts

Sadhbh has been getting used to her new toys from Santa. Her favourite one is her activity table as she loves to hear the music and uses it to practice her standing up.She is getting closer to standing up by herself and mom and dad reckon she will be flying around once she starts.

Tadhg battles through the snow to school

Snow fell throughout Thursday night and Friday morning so that when Tadhg woke up for school on Friday morning the world had turned white. Tadhg was happy to be able to take his sled to school rather than walking. He wrapped himself up well but was still a bit chilly when they arrived at school.

Tadhg got the school bus home as normal and dad helped him get off. Afterwards Tadhg helped dad shovel some snow before going into the house to warm-up.
