One of Sadhbh's favourite things is having a bath. She loves being in the warm water and being able to kick out her legs with no hindrance. Tadhg loves watching his sister in the bath and occasionally gets to join in.
Tadhg is a bit more active in the bath so mom and dad limit the shared bath time for now. After a quick shared bath, Sadhbh is dried off while Tadhg gets to splash around in the tub.
Tadhg went to his swimming lesson as usual on Easter Sunday morning. While he was practising his floating and bobbing, the Easter bunny ran through the house and left a trail of Easter eggs for Tadhg to find. Tadhg was thrilled to discover the eggs when he came home and had a great time filling his Easter basket with chocolate eggs.
After the excitement of the egg hunt, Tadhg went back to his cousins' house for some more fun and games. Everyone was delighted to see Tadhg and Sadhbh once again. Tadhg had some time to snuggle with his sister during the mayhem.
On Good Friday, Tadhg, Sadhbh, mom and dad were able to join in a Canadian family tradition and attend the annual fish fry at Uncle Nick's and Auntie Barb's. One of the main advantages of living in Canada is being able to join in family events such as this. Tadhg was delighted as always to be at his cousin's house. Tadhg's cousins' cousins were there also so Tadhg was amazed to have new cousins to get to know!
Mikaela and Ehrin had organised an egg hunt for all the kids and helped Tadhg solve his clues and find his eggs. Everyone was delighted to see Sadhbh and she was passed around all family members. Luckily she slept through it all.
At the end of the night Tadhg played with his new Easter bunny which sang an Easter song and danced an Easter dance (while the adults caught up with the latest royal wedding plans). Mom and dad had to bundle both kids into the car and drove home with two snoozing kids in the back seat.
At the tender age of 7 days, Sadhbh had her first photo shoot. Sadhbh slept through most of the shoot which was perfect for Kathy the photographer as she was able to try on numerous outfits, hats and poses. Mom and dad were so happy with the results as Sadhbh looks like a little angel (which she is).
Tadhg and Sadhbh have started a new night time routine where Tadhg wishes Sadhbh a good night in his bed before he goes asleep. Tadhg is very fond of his sister and loves to hug and kiss her. Sometimes this can be too much for Sadhbh as she is smothered by his ginger locks! Mom and dad love to see them together and think they are really blessed to have two little angels.
On Tuesday, Uncle Mitch's mom came over and helped Tadhg prepare for Easter. She is an artist and brought over an egg decorating kit for Tadhg to experiment with. Tadhg made some exotic and psychedelic looking eggs and had great fun. He wasn't so happy when one of the eggs dropped though! Tadhg is really looking forward to his first Easter in Canada.
Mom and dad had promised Tadhg that he would get a new bike when his sister arrived. Tadhg loves any vehicle with wheels and had long wanted his own bike. He had a 3-wheeler in Prague but this was to be first first real bike. Mom, dad, Tadhg and Sadhbh went to thir local Toys R Us on Friday to go bike shopping. Tadhg tried out lots of different bikes but eventually settled on a cool green one. Dad had to put it together on Friday night so Tadhg wasn't able to try it out until Saturday morning.
Well rested after her first night at home, Sadhbh was introduced to her Canadian cousins on Friday. Tadhg was excited to show off his new sister and happy to have his cousins around. Everyone had a chance to hold the new baby who slept through most of the afternoon.
After all the excitement of Sadhbh's arrival on Wednesday, Tadhg and dad went to the hospital on Thursday to bring mom and Sadhbh home. Sadhbh and mom were doing great. Tadhg was very excited to see his sister and was keen to hug and kiss her. Before leaving Sadhbh had to pass a car seat test to make sure she was ok to go in the car. Dad and Tadhg helped mom pack everything up for the trip home.
Sadhbh passed the test with flying colours and so was dressed in her coming home outfit, socks and hat. It was great to finally have Sadhbh at home and mom and dad were amazed it all happended so quickly (Tadhg was in hospital for his first 2 weeks). Luckily Tadhg is now sleeping through the night as Sadhbh settled into her new bed. Mom was up a few times during the night, probably a sign of nights to come.
Tadhg didn't want to go to bed on Tuesday evening and was up until almost 10pm which is way past his bedtime. He must have known something as only a couple of hours later, mom starting feeling contractions. Mom and dad called Baba and Auntie Kay to come over (and quickly!). Not long after mom, dad and Auntie Kay rushed to the hospital while Baba stayed behind to look after Tadhg.
After school, dad brought Tadhg into the hospital to see his new sister for the first time. Tadhg was amazed with his little princess and kissed, touched and held her like the gentle big brother that he is. Tadhg didn't want to leave without Sadhbh but eventually was persuaded to go home for dinner and bed. 
Tadhg's buddy from school, Emmett, had invited Tadhg to his 4th birthday party a few weeks ago. Tadhg was excited when he received the special birthday invite and the big day was Saturday. Emmett's mom and dad had organised the party in a community centre very close to where Tadhg lives so mom, dad and Tadhg were able to walk to the event. The party started off with a dinosaur fossil excavation where all the kids (with help from moms and dads) had to dig through rocks to find dinosaur fossils. Tadhg was happy with his "bony dinosaur".
After the dig, there were lots of games and activities which mainly involved kids running around a big hall which suited Tadhg perfectly. After lunch and the birthday cake Tadhg ran some more and chased the bubbles from his birthday swag bag. The party ended with Emmett opening his presents. All the kids were amazed at the fireman bike he got and everyone had to have a go. Tadhg tried it out and didn't want to get off!
