Saturday was baba and papa's 50th wedding anniversary and a big party was planned at Auntie Kay's house. Unfortunately Tadhg also had his end-of-season football (soccer) tournament on the same day. As dad is Tadhg's soccer coach, it was hard not to go to the tournament. So on Saturday morning, mom and dad went to Auntie Kay's house early to help get ready for the party while Tadhg and dad packed their car with soccer balls and jersey's and went to the tournament. Tadhg had a great time at the tournament playing some soccer and lot's of games with his friends. As soon as the last match was over and the trophies handed out, Tadhg and dad hopped in to dad's car and made their way to the party.
Mom and Sadhbh helped setup a beautiful marquee in Auntie Kay's garden covered in photos from baba and papa's wedding. It was a beautiful day at the lake and everyone was impressed with the layout, the food and the wonderful service. It was great to be able to celebrate baba and papa's special day with all of their family and friends. After the party finished Tadhg and Sadhbh were zipped back home to bed while mom and dad relaxed after their hectic day. Congratulations baba and papa!
Tadhg went on a trip to the Home Depot store. During the trip the kids worked on a little project and Tadhg made a bird feeder. The little carpenter was very proud of his creation and dad stuck in on the window. Mom filled it with bird seed and everything was set for the birds to arrive. To everyone's surprise (except Tadhg's) the birds love it and come by many times during the day for a meal. A family of Cardinals have decided to make it their own feeder and come by every day to eat, even scaring other birds away. Tadhg and Sadhbh love having their feathered guests around.
Sadhbh loves to brush teeth.She regularly goes on toothbrush raids in the bathroom and comes out with multiple toothbrushes belonging to Tadhg, mom and dad. She often has a toothbrush in her hand and is developing a taste for toothpaste. Now she just needs a few more teeth to brush.
