Tadhg's hide-and-seek play took a new twist today as he spent an enjoyable 20 minutes hiding in the laundry bin. He didn't want to leave and had to be coaxed out of the bin in the end.
Tadhg celebrated ANZAC Day (Australia and New Zealand Army Corps) with an Aussie style bar-b-q on the banks of the Vltava river.
Tadhg visited a city beach playland called Zlute Lazne (which means Yellow Spa) with some of his playgroup buddies. Unfortunately, the water areas were closed as they were still being touched up for summer, but Tadhg enjoyed exploring the pirate ship marooned in a sand pit. A return trip is planned for when the park is fully open.
Tadhg and his buddy Jake took a trip to the zoo this week and wandered around the Lemur enclosure. The lemurs are free to wander around as they wish (and try to steal food from unknowing visitors!). One of the lemurs came over to say hello and took a keen interest in Tadhg's snack trap!
Tadhg also took a trip to the kid's area and enjoyed feeding and petting the baby goats. Tadhg's dad bought a recession-busting 12 month pass for the Prague Zoo, so expect many reports from the zoo this year.
Tadhg got a new toddler sized table and 2 chairs (for when he has guests over!). Tadhg immediately put it to use for his morning snack.
Tadhg took a trip with his best mate Jake to the live butterfly exhibition at the Prague Botanical Gardens. Tadhg loved walking under the small aquarium at the entrance to the exhibition and was amazed by the large, colourful butterflies flying around.
Tadhg had a great time but found it hard to obey the 'Do Not Touch' signs!
Tadhg really enjoyed playing in the playground which, although small, is in a great location.
Tadhg took a trip to the beautiful Czech spa town of Marianske Lazne with mom and dad for the easter weekend. They took the train from Prague which was fun although Tadhg slept for most of the trip.
On Easter Sunday, the family enjoyed a walk through daffodil fields along a bubbling stream. Tadhg took a break for a quick snack along the water's edge.
The weather was so good Tadhg had to wear his sun hat for most outings. He is used to wearing his hat now and often calls out "hat" before his trips outside.
At the end of the walk, Tadhg found a small playground and enjoyed a few go's in the swing and running around the unusual wooden structures.
After such a busy day, Tadhg enjoyed some pizza before bedtime!
Although there was still time for a run along the town's famous Colonnade. Tadhg enjoyed chasing the many pigeons who gathered around the paths and fountains.
On Easter Monday, Tadhg enjoyed a final run around the huge hotel terrace, before waving goodbye to a fun Easter weekend and making his way home to Prague.
Tadhg's Friday playgroup met at the playground beside Zofin restaurant on the Vltava river this week. Tadhg enjoyed riding the bouncy horse-type creature and was especially happy to have mom join the playgroup for a change.
Tadhg gets a new pair of shoes and is now dressed for the Prague summer! After trying on some shoes, Tadhg decided on a pair of closed toe sandals with a rugged sole. It didn't take long before Tadhg was running around in his new shoes and he has quickly learned how to open and close the velcro straps.
