Thursday was Baba's birthday so mom, Tadhg and Sadhbh called over to wish Baba a Happy Birthday! Tadhg and Sadhbh brought a musical birthday card and Tadhg thrilled Baba by singing "Happy Birthday" with the card!
Baba enjoyed having her two newest grandkids over for her special day and Tadhg and Sadhbh loved being at their Baba and Papa's house as always.
Mom and dad bought an electric swing chair for Sadhbh hoping it would be something she enjoyed sitting in. Mom was also hoping that it would be somewhere she could put Sadhbh when she needed to get things done during the day. The chair was very high tech with 6 different speed settings and a selection of relaxing music and sounds. 
Tadhg's second football/soccer training session didn't go so well. Once again the field was muddy and Tadhg wasn't so keen on playing with the 50 other kids and parents on the field. The teams were finally announced and Tadhg is on team Brazil (coached by dad!). Hopefully Tadhg will enjoy the smaller training sessions and games more.
Tadhg got a new pair of dungarees and decided to try out his new country look in the garden. Summer has arrived in full bloom and Tadhg enjoyed chasing around the garden.
He had great fun blowing dandelion seeds which is fun but may end up in lots of weeding for dad!
On Saturday morning, Tadhg had his first ever football/soccer training session. Tadhg looked the part with his Toronto FC jersey, Buzz Lightyear shorts and Ireland socks. The pitch was a bit muddy and the kids were a bit unsure as they followed the head coach around with their parents in tow. This was a big training session for all the kids so it should be easier when the teams are allocated and the training sessions are smaller.
Tadhg signed up for the Concord Soccer club under 4 mini-league which starts at the end of May. Tadhg already had a football jersey, shorts and Irish socks but needed some football boots and shinpads. Tadhg was excited to get his own boots and shinpads as he had often tried on dad's ones.
Tadhg and dad went out to the garden after dinner to practice with Tadhg's new gear. Tadhg had a great time and loved chasing dad around in his new boots. He quickly tired of the ball and just wanted to play 'chasing' and 'hide-and-seek'.
Tadhg and Sadhbh's Irish grandparents sent a welcome package for Sadhbh which finally arrived this week. Tadhgh was excited to receive post as always and was keen to see what was inside. He quickly pulled out and discarded the baby clothes for Sadhbh (no fun!) and got to the bottom of the box to find the Ireland baseball cap and Leprechaun snow globe which were sent for Tadhg.
Tadhg loved his new Irish gifts and immediately planned to bring his leprechaun snow globe into school for a show and tell. Mom and dad were happy to have some new Irish clothes for Sadhbh. Sadhbh was happy to sleep.
Mom and dad had packed away a lot of Tadhg's baby things (clothes, books and toys) and are slowly taking them out for Sadhbh. Tadhg loved his Black on White book when he was a baby so mom and dad brought it out for Sadhbh. She was enthralled by the high-contrast images and sat quietly in her seat (for a few minutes at least!).
After 3 weeks at home Sadhbh is settling into a routine. She sleeps most of the time waking up every 3 hours or so for a feed and to do her business. Mom and dad love to watch her sleep and are amazed to see how she sleeps the same was as her brother used to. Mom is hoping Sadhbh learns to sleep through the night soon!
