On Sunday, Tadhg joined the rest of the family to officially celebrate his Baba's birthday. In the morning, the immediate family went for brunch in Betty's restaurant. Tadhg was in the middle of his nap when everyone arrived at the restaurant, but he soon woke up and joined in the celebrations.
In the afternoon, more family and friend's came to Auntie Kay's house at the lake for the celebrations. Tadhg had a great time playing with his cousins and wished his Baba 'Happy Birthday' when the birthday cake arrived.
The evening ended with sparklers and fireworks on the beach when the sun went down. However, Tadhg was asleep before the fireworks started and was so tired after his busy day that he slept through the all the mini explosions.
On Friday, Tadhg, Baba, Papa, mom and dad took a trip to Toronto. Tadhg first visited his mom's Uncle John and Auntie Rita.
Then he visited Auntie Mira and enjoyed running around her beautiful back garden. Tadhg had lots of fun at Auntie Mira's house and didn't want to leave!
After a long day travelling to Toronto and back, Tadhg quickly fell asleep in his bed at Auntie Kay's and mom and dad enjoyed a relaxing drink at the Tiki bar.
It was Tadhg's Baba's birthday on the first Tuesday of Tadhg's trip. The big birthday celebration is planned for next weekend but Tadhg was able to join auba, Papa, Auntie Kay, mom and dad for a small birthday meal celebration in Boston Pizza.
Tadhg enjoyed sitting at the head of the table with his big bowl of pasta.

Tadhg's visit to Canada coincided with his cousin Nicholas' (and his cousin a few times removed, Justin's) first holy communion, so Tadhg went to the celebration party in the Croatian National Home.
Everyone was excited to see Tadhg so he was very popular at the party. Tadhg was a bit nervous at first as he's not used to so much attention. However, he quickly settled down and enjoyed some reading time with his Baba (Croatian for GrandMother).
Tadhg visited a new playground today at Areal Gutova. This is a unique playground as it as a few different sections: a water science park and a grass play area as well as a climbing wall and skate park for older kids/adults. Tadhg made straight for the water science park and enjoyed splashing down the little stream and using the various dams and archimedes screws along its path. It was definitely a messy outing for the little scientist.
Tadhg returned to Zlute Lazne (the 'yellow spa' beach resortby the Vltava river) as the water area was now open. When we were last here in April, the water area was being renovated so the kids could only play on the sandy Pirate ship. Tadhg enjoyed splashing around the paddling area with the other kids and toddling around the grass play area afterwards.
Tadhg's favourite football team (or at least his mom and dad's favourite team) Manchester United won the English Premier League at the weekend. Tadhg celebrated in his new football jersey which looked more like an altar boy's robe! Tadhg has been a lucky mascot for Man U as they have won the league every season since Tadhg was born.
Tadhg met up with his buddies Eva and Petru at the nearby Kafe Kakao. Tadhg is so good at walking now that he was able to walk to and from the cafe without his buggy. The cafe has a great play area and Tadhg really enjoyed riding the red rocker.....
...and the little bike (or truck as Tadhg calls it!). This is a regular play date location for Tadhg as it is non-smoking (a rarity in Prague), has a good kid's corner and hosts an English language story telling session twice a month.
Tadhg was booked in for his first ever dentist visit today. Mommy was going to get checked first to show Tadhg how it all works (and that there's nothing to be afraid of - well nothing much!). Tadhg enjoyed sitting in the waiting area. Unfortunately, there was a mixup with the booking and the dentist wasn't able to see Tadhg. The dental hygienist had a quick look at Tadhg and confirmed that he has all the teeth he should have and gave Tadhg some tips on how to clean them. No more chewing the toothbrush!
Tadhg is a big fan of reading and loves nothing more than cuddling up in mom or dad's lap and delving into a good book. Tadhg's favourite author is Dr. Seuss and his favourite books right now are (in order of popularity):
- The Cat in the Hat
- Green Eggs and Ham
- The Thinks you can Think
- One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
Mom and Dad often find themselves talking in rhyme after a day of reading Dr. Seuss!
Tadhg has a new, soft, yellow bean bag to roll around in. He was very excited when dad was getting the beanbag ready and tried to grab all the little 'beans' from inside. Once the bag was made up, Tadhg was quick to roll around and claim it for his own!
Tadhg's Irish grandparents flew into Prague for a visit with their little grandson. Tadhg really enjoyed spending time with his grandparents as he doesn't see them very often and loved entertaining them with his new words and mischevious ways. On their last day in Prague, the sun finally appeared so the whole family went for a trip to the Zofin playground.
Tadhg really enjoyed their visit and was sad to see them go.
Tadhg was invited to his buddy Jake's place on Saturday for a summer bar-b-q. Tadhg had great fun playing with Jake's toys and exploring his new surroundings. Best of all was sitting on the sunny terrace and sampling some bar-b-q'd veggies. Tadhg had his first ever corn-on-the-cob! He wasn't sure what to do with it at first, but Jake soon showed him how to eat it.
