Tadhg and Sadhbh's first Easter Egg hunt

On Easter Saturday Tadhg and Sadhbh went to a nearby Easter egg hunt for their first easter egg hunt of the weekend. It was fun and both Sadhbh and Tadhg managed to collect a lot of chocolate eggs!  After the egg hunt they went to a nearby community centre where they saw some bunnies, did some crafts and Tadhg held a snake!

Tadhg and Sadhbh stay in Niagara on the Lake

On Good Friday Tadhg and Sadhbh went to nearby Niagara on the Lake for an overnight stay in a posh hotel. Tadhg and Sadhbh enjoyed playing the bath tub together before going down to the hotel restaurant for dinner.

Sadhbh's 3rd birthday party

Sadhbh celebrated her 3rd birthday with her Canadian family on Saturday with a party at her house. Sadhbh loved blowing our her birthday candles.

Sadhbh kicked off her 3rd birthday celebrations with a family dinner at Montana's restaurant. Sadhbh enjoyed wearing the birthday antler hat and getting her birthday ice cream.

Tadhg earns his orange belt

Tadhg has been working hard on his Tae Kwon Do and on Friday passed the test to become an Orange belt!

Tira plays in the snow for the first time!

Tadhg and Sadhbh love to bring Tira out to wait for their school bus. This morning Tadhg and Tira enjoyed playing on the snow mound made by the snow plows. It was Tira's first taste of snow!

Tadhg and Sadhbh get a puppy!

Tadhg and Sadhbh welcomed a new puppy into their lives this weekend. Tira is a 3 month old cockapoo puppy that is the cutest thing they have ever seen. The whole family went to pick her up this weekend and loved seeing her crawling around with her puppy mates. When Tira came home she snuggled into Tadhg's lap as she quickly recognised it as a safe place to be. She also loves snuggling with Sadhbh on the sofa. After a brief discussion, Tira was named in honour of Grandma by switching the R and the T in Grandma's name. 

Tadhg and Sadhbh's grandma passes away

Thursday was a very sad day as Tadhg and Sadhbh's grandma, their dad's mom, passed way. Dad received a phone call from Ireland early on Thursday morning with the sad news that his mom had a heart attack while in the hospital waiting room. It was terrible news for the family but nice to remember the time they all had together during the last week in Ireland

Tadhg and Sadhbh fly to Ireland

Tadhg and Sadhbh's Irish grandma has been very sick for a few months so at the weekend the family flew home to Ireland to visit for a week.

Tadhg and Sadhbh's igloo

2014 began with a huge snowfall.When the snow finally stopped falling dad and Sadhbh wrapped up warm and went outside to clear the footpaths. Once the footpaths were clear they decided to have some fun and try to build an igloo with their new snow brick maker. When Tadhg saw how much fun they were having he wrapped up in his new snowsuit and came outside to join in.

Tadhg and dad wanted to building the igloo as high as they could. Sadhbh got cold and went inside to warm up. The wall was higher than Tadhg's head when they decided to take a break and get warm. Unfortunately the wall accidentally collapsed while taking photos so Tadhg demolished the remainder with his stomping snow boots.It was lot's of snow fun and Tadhg is already planning his next igloo attempt.
