On Monday, Tadhg, mom and dad took a trip to Granville Island in Vancouver. The highlight of the trip for Tadhg happened on the way to the ferry when he spotted a fire engine getting cleaned outside a local fire station. After wandering over to take a closer look, the friendly fireman invited Tadhg to sit in the fire engine and made him a junior fire chief for the day! Tadhg was talking about fire trucks for the rest of the day and may have decided on his future career!
After reluctantly leaving the fire station behind, Tadhg enjoyed the short ferry ride over to Granville Island. The highlight of the trip to the Island was the kid's market with lots of toy shops, book shops, play areas and a cool children's hairdresser with cars, airplanes and trains instead of seats!
Another busy day in Vancouver ended with Tadhg moving to a hotel close to the airport in preparation for the early flight to Toronto on Tuesday. Tadhg really enjoyed the new hotel and especially liked lounging on his camp bed looking at the planes taxiing around the runways.
